YACHT CLUB DJS - ENCORE SHOW
After their sold out national tour, mash-up masters Yacht Club DJs are back for a special encore show at the Prince Of Wales Bandroom.
Debauchery knew know bounds when Yacht Club DJs took to the road with power duo DZ and indie kids Howl in a van for their Batten Down the Hatches tour.
Along the way bar records were smashed; impromptu after parties were held at airports when flights home were missed; there was weird and excessive nudity every show; stage acrobatics were common, with lighting rigs turned into monkey bars and second floors turned into diving boards; a brush (or two) with the law; the tour van was broken into, duets became the theme and generally the shows turned into organized chaos.
But it wasn’t just the bands living up to their “Party Like Death” motto. The sold out crowds stormed the stages across the country, dancing on the decks and pulsing to Yacht Club’s signature mashes of pop, hardcore and hip-hop. DZ made more noise than humanly possible for just two guys and Howl played up their showmanship, crowd surfing with guitars.
It’s been quite the tour but boys aren’t ready for the party to stop and by popular demand Batten Down The Hatches tour will be returning to Prince of Wales, Melbourne for a very special Encore Show. Already on the sold out Groovin the Moo tour, this will be your last chance to see the Yacht Club DJs before they before bunker down to record their first official release later this year.
Hundreds of people were turned away last time – so tickets will sell fast. There are plenty of surprises in stall, so ring the alarm – things are going to get wild.
