In his teens whilst standing in front of the mirror discovering his giant afro abilities, he dreamt of a world class super funk band that would one day save the planet. Dekel has been standing on stage and singing his heart out since kinder garden, knowing all the while he was actually preparing for something much greater.

That small boy has since grown into energy bursting, soulful giant and the lead singer in Funk 'n' Stein The Band - an 8-piece super group consisting of some of Israel's most talented respected musicians. The foundation of the band includes a killer rhythm section that could make mountains move, a mean brass section that shines on every beat and to lead them all, an entertainer and singer who takes his audience on a music journey with his velvet sounding voice and charismatic style.

Influenced by the funk bands of old while maintaining a fresh and unique sound of their own, Funk 'n' Stein The Band are using their uncompromising groove to shout for change. From day one Funk 'n' Stein The Band was a phenomena, selling out clubs and developing a strong fan base that to this day is still growing. There hasn't been one crowd that Funk 'n' Stein The Band haven't been able to sweep into the twirling soul and groove hurricane they bring to every stage they perform on.

The bandachieved national impact following numerous TV appearances including performances on Israel's no. 1 commercial TV channel, popular late night shows, EMMY award ceremony equivalent in Israel, headlining the MTV equivalent in Israel and performing in all the major festivals in the country as well as the International Red Sea Jazz festival.

After releasing their double debut album in 2006, getting radio coverage in North America, Mexico and Europe, Funk 'n' Stein The Band  have started touring Internationally in clubs and festivals around Europe and now Australia is next on their list...
