Fat Freddy’s Favourite Band to Support Them on Sold Out Melbourne Show!
Fat Freddy’s Drop’s intimate Melbourne solo show at Prince Bandroom has sold out in incredibly quick fashion and there’s even more good news for lucky ticket holders… They’re bringing their favourite new band with them in tow: The Nudge.
The Wellington based 3 piece consisting of Ryan Prebble (Guitar, vocals), James Coyle (Keys) and Iraia Whakamoe (Drums) is making their first trip to Australia, playing songs off their debut album Big Nudge Pie. Describing their sound as many fingers in many pies, The Nudge pie is a concoction of a blues and rock base, with a deep swamp filling, and a raucous party crust.
Formed in early 2010, The Nudge channels influences ranging from Blind Lemon Jefferson, James Brown, Al Green, to Pink Floyd, Bjork and Can. With such a glowing endorsement from the guys of Fat Freddy’s the anticipation of their arrival and what audible delight’s they’ll bring with them is palpable.
