AKIL THE MC AND LOUIS LOGIC TOUR AUSTRALIA THIS NOVEMBER
After 13 years as a member of Hip Hop's legendary Jurassic 5, Akil the MC releases his long anticipated, debut album 'Sound Check'. In celebration of his own release and that of Louis Logic's new album -'Me And Everyone You Know', the two underground Hip Hop giants are undertaking a world tour. Akil and Louis Logic are presently receiving rave reviews for sold out shows in England, Ireland, Norway and Scotland. This November Akil teams up with Melbourne turntablist DJ Sizzle and a selection of premium supports to bring his latest offering to Australian shores.
AKIL
Throughout the 90s and up until their eventual split in 2007 Jurassic 5 were one of the World's best known acts in Hip Hop. Akil enjoyed a major role in the success of the group, penning one of the groups biggest hits 'Concrete Schoolyard' and performing with the group across the globe. As a solo artist, Akil has performed over 1400 shows in 2009. He returns to Australia with a vibrant and highly skilled set including classic Jurassic 5 hits and material from his debut solo release, 'Sound Check'.
LOUIS LOGIC
With a golden list of collaborations with artists such as MF DOOM, Jedi Mind Tricks and J- Zone, Louis had grown to infamy for his drinking anthems and quirky adult love songs. Louis Logic's performances are quirky- famous for their audience participation and unique style. He uses a unique singer/ songwriter approach to crafting Hip Hop, using an array of instruments, pre made beats and rapping.

DJing on the Australian tour is one of Australia’s premier turntablists, DJ Sizzle. Boasting an extensive collection of Classic, Glitch and Future Hip Hop jems and displaying the tightest skills available, he joins Akil to rock crowds nationwide
